Who discovered nuclear energy?
The Italian physicist Enrico Fermi is considered a major figure in the invention of nuclear power. Fermi discovered the first nuclear reactor in which a nuclear chain reaction could be initiated, controlled, and sustained at a steady rate. His nuclear reactor is in common use in nuclear power stations today.
